Author Appeal Process
Purpose
The AMRJ is committed to a fair and transparent peer-review and editorial process. Authors who believe their manuscript decision (rejection, or revision) was unjust may submit an appeal. This policy outlines the procedure for submitting and reviewing appeals.
Grounds for Appeal
Authors may appeal if they believe:
-
The manuscript was unfairly rejected or assessed.
-
The review process was biased, incomplete, or lacked transparency.
-
The editorial decision did not align with the peer reviewers' feedback.
-
There were procedural errors in handling the manuscript.
How to Submit an Appeal
-
Appeals must be submitted within 30 days of receiving the editorial decision.
-
The appeal must include:
- A detailed explanation of why the decision was unjust.
- Any supporting documents or evidence to justify the appeal.
-
Appeals should be sent to:publication.amrj@gmail.com.
Review and Discussion
-
The Editorial Board will review the manuscript, peer reviewers’ comments, and the author’s appeal.
-
If necessary, an independent reviewer may be appointed for an impartial review.
-
The appeal will be discussed in the monthly editorial meeting, and a final decision will be made after careful evaluation.
Final Decision
-
Authors will receive the final decision within 30 days of submitting the appeal.
-
Possible outcomes include:
- Reconsideration of the manuscript.
- Rejection of the appeal.
- Any other resolution deemed appropriate by the Editorial Board.
Finality of Decision
The Editorial Board’s decision following the appeal review is final and cannot be contested further.
Confidentiality
All appeal-related matters are handled with strict confidentiality. Only individuals directly involved in the review process will have access to appeal details.
