Archiving and Self-Archiving Policy

Permanent Archiving

All AMRJ manuscripts are permanently archived and accessible via the journal’s website, ensuring long-term availability and wide dissemination.

Self-Archiving Policy (Author Rights and Permissions)

Authors may share, repost, or deposit their articles in: 

  • Institutional repositories

  • Non-commercial subject repositories

  • Personal or academic websites

    Any reuse must:

    • Credit AMRJ as the original publisher.
    • Include the DOI and URL of the published article.
  • Authors are encouraged to deposit the Version of Record (VOR) for citation accuracy and version control.

Versions of the Manuscript

Authors may share their work in the following versions:

Author’s Original Manuscript (AOM): Pre-peer-review submission.

  • Can be shared for non-commercial purposes.
  • Upon publication, the DOI and journal link must be added.

Accepted Manuscript (AM): Peer-reviewed version, accepted for publication.

  • May be distributed, marked as "Accepted", and must include the DOI.

Version of Record (VOR) / Published Article: The final, professionally formatted version with a DOI.

  • The official published version, archived permanently in AMRJ.

Indexing and Policy Availability

  • This self-archiving policy is indexed in Sherpa/Romeo, ensuring transparency and compliance with open-access standards.

Digital Preservation and Journal-Level Archiving

AMRJ is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation, integrity, and global accessibility of its published content through trusted, independent, and internationally recognized digital preservation services.

AMRJ content is securely archived using the following systems:

CLOCKSS: Decentralized, secure archiving for long-term access.

LOCKSS: Distributed preservation system safeguarding journal content.

PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN): AMRJ participates in the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) through Open Journal Systems (OJS). The PKP PN plugin is installed and active. Content is deposited automatically once eligibility checks and technical processing by the PKP Preservation Network are completed.

Internet Archive: AMRJ deposits published journal volumes and articles in the Internet Archive, a non-profit global digital library, to ensure permanent public access, independent redundancy, and long-term preservation beyond the journal’s primary hosting platform. Archived content includes full attribution to AMRJ as the original publisher and, links to the Version of Record (VOR) and Digital Object Identifier (DOI).

         ● All articles are assigned DOIs via CrossRef, ensuring discoverability and citation tracking.

Commitment to Open Access

  • AMRJ follows a strict open-access policy, making all manuscripts freely available online without embargo, in compliance with the CC BY-NC 4.0 license.

  • These preservation platforms safeguard the integrity, availability, and accessibility of AMRJ’s scholarly content.
